On Wednesday, 19 September, an media activist died from a 15-meter drop from one of the footbridges that connected about 50 treehouses in the Hambach Forest. Cabins built as part of an occupation that started 6 years ago. An occupation that aims to prevent the destruction of the hambach forest by RWE. A cetenarian forest would be replaced by
the extention of the coal mine which has already devoured nearly 4000 ha in 40 years.
As the French state did for the NDDL ZAD, the German state chose to use an impressive repression in order to evict the 150 activists. More than 3000 robocops, some on horseback, water cannons, several armored vehicles and helicopters were deployed to accomplish the destruction. Again the repressive presence of cops has mown down the life of an activist.
In response, we expressed our rage on the route D281 in the NDDL zone to be defended at the late Angry Lama, built with comrades from hambach and destroyed in April 2018 by the state's repressive forces.
We do not want destructive and oppressive capitalism or COPs. Neither here at Notre-Dame-des-Landes, nor at Hambach, nowhere!
Against the exploitation from capitalism!
Against the destruction of the natural!
Against the repression by the state and its robocops!
We continue the fight for a tomorrow that pleases us!
In memory of Rémi, Steffen and all the others!
